Teaching Assistant (EYFS Level 3)

Location: Barking and Dagenham, East LondonSalary:£1,800 - £2,200 per monthStart Date: Immediate / SeptemberContract:Permanent | Full-time

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a qualified EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner to support children within a Nursery or Reception setting, helping them develop key communication, social, and early learning skills. Working alongside the class teacher and EYFS team, you will help create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.

  Support teaching and learning within the EYFS setting

\n

  Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions

\n
• \n

  Support children's early reading, phonics, language, and numeracy development

\n
• \n

  Assist with planning and delivering engaging learning activities

\n
• \n

  Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development

\n
• \n

  Complete observations and contribute to children's learning records

\n
• \n

  Work closely with teachers, parents, and the wider school team

\n

Essential:

\n
• \n

  Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (or equivalent)

\n
• \n

  Experience working within an EYFS setting

\n
• \n

  Good understanding of the EYFS Framework

\n
• \n

  GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

\n
• \n

  A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach

\n

Desirable:

\n
• \n

  Experience within a primary school setting

\n
• \n

  Knowledge of phonics and early intervention programmes

\n
• \n

  Strong communication and organisational skills

\n
• \n

  Paediatric First Aid qualification

\n
