Section Engineer

We're looking for a Senior/Section Engineer - Civils to join our team in Twyford, Buckinghamshire. This is a great opportunity to play a key role on a major civils project, supporting safe, high-quality delivery while developing your technical leadership experience with Kier.

Location:Twyford, Buckinghamshire site based 5 days per week
Hours:Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week

As a Senior/Section Engineer - Civils, you'll take ownership of the engineering and technical delivery for a defined section of works. Working closely with the wider site team, you'll help ensure construction is delivered safely, to specification, on programme and to the high-quality standards expected across Kier.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior/Section Engineer - Civils, you'll be part of a collaborative engineering team where your technical knowledge and site experience will help drive successful project delivery.

Day to day, your role will include:

• Taking responsibility for engineering activities across a section of works, making sure construction is delivered in line with drawings and specifications
\n
• Creating short-term programmes and lookahead plans, coordinating resources, materials and subcontractors to keep work moving effectively
\n
• Maintaining accurate inspection, testing and as-built records, supporting strong quality assurance across the project
\n
• Leading safety briefings and helping to maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance on site
\n
• Supporting Site Engineers and junior team members through technical guidance, coaching and mentoring
\n

What are we looking for?

This Senior/Section Engineer - Civils would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership on site, solving technical challenges and supporting the development of others. We're looking for someone who has:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent qualification
\n
• Progress towards Chartered status, ideally with ICE
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of civils or infrastructure works
\n
• Experience supporting or managing engineering teams in a site environment
\n
• A good understanding of quality assurance processes, documentation and project records
\n
