Are you an experienced Production Team Leader or Section Leader looking to take the next step in your career?

We're working with a successful and growing food manufacturing business that prides itself on delivering high-quality products to major retailers while maintaining exceptional standards across safety, quality and performance.

\n

You'll be responsible for leading your area to achieve production targets, ensuring teams are engaged, processes are followed, and standards are consistently met. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend time on the factory floor, driving performance and supporting your team to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily start-up procedures and receive comprehensive shift handovers.
  • \n
  • Monitor labour requirements across production areas, ensuring resources are utilised effectively.
  • \n
  • Lead and support production teams to achieve quality, safety and productivity targets.
  • \n
  • Conduct Return to Work interviews and support attendance management processes.
  • \n
  • Attend daily review meetings and team briefings, communicating key business objectives.
  • \n
  • Challenge performance constructively, focusing on quality, throughput and labour efficiency.
  • \n
  • Audit technical and production documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • \n
  • Complete detailed shift handovers and ensure production areas are left clean, safe and organised.
  • \n
  • Review productivity and performance data, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • Identify training and development needs within the team and support performance improvement initiatives.
  • \n
  • Work closely with Technical, Engineering and Planning teams to deliver daily production plans.
  • \n

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a Production Team Leader, Section Leader or similar supervisory role within food manufacturing.
  • \n
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and performance management.
  • \n
  • Understanding of retailer standards and food manufacturing best practices.
  • \n
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • \n
  • A proactive approach to driving standards, productivity and team engagement.
  • \n
