Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services (MEP Contractor) 📍 Location: Site & Office Based 💷 Day Rate: Up to £450 per day 📅 Contract: Freelance I’m working exclusively with a well-established MEP contractor that has secured a strong pipeline of commercial and high-end fit out projects. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Design Engineer on a contract basis. The Role You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality electrical building services designs, supporting projects from concept through to completion, working closely with project managers, clients and site teams. Key Responsibilities * Produce electrical design calculations, drawings and technical specifications. * Design power, lighting, fire alarm, data and small power systems. * Coordinate with mechanical engineers and BIM/Revit teams. * Attend client, design and coordination meetings. * Support project delivery through construction and commissioning. * Ensure designs comply with current regulations and industry standards. What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within the Building Services or MEP sector. * Strong knowledge of commercial fit out and refurbishment projects. * Experience using industry-standard design software. * Ability to work independently while collaborating with wider project teams. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
