We're seeking a Data Governance Consultant / Lead with experience in enterprise data management and information governance. This role suits a confident, senior-facing practitioner who can engage directly with business stakeholders and drive governance maturity across the organisation.

Key Details

\n - Rate: £365 per day, Outside IR35
\n - Working Pattern: Remote, with occasional travel to the client site in London
\n - Location Requirement: Candidates must be UK-based with full right to work in the UK — no sponsorship available

The Role
\n
\n - Establish and embed data governance practices aligned to the DAMA framework
\n - Define and implement data ownership and stewardship models
\n - Design and roll out data quality controls across the enterprise
\n - Work closely with senior business stakeholders to drive adoption and buy-in
\n - Develop target operating models (TOM), data policies, and governance metrics
\n - Lead data maturity assessments and define frameworks to track progress
\n
\n
What You'll Bring
\n
\n - experience in enterprise data management / information governance
\n - Deep expertise in DAMA-based governance practices, including ownership and stewardship models
\n - Proven track record building TOMs, data policies, metrics, and maturity assessment frameworks
\n - Hands-on experience with metadata management, data lineage mapping, and data cataloguing tools — Microsoft Purview, Informatica, or Collibra
\n - Strong understanding of data security frameworks and regulatory compliance (GDPR)
\n - Solid grounding in standard risk management workflows
\n - Comfortable operating at senior stakeholder level
\n - UK-based with full right to work — essential
