Job Description
A national RBCA are currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector in Northampton. The site-based role involves building control and warranty inspections of residential developments throughout construction.

Building Inspector responsibilities
\n
\n
\n - Check plans for compliance with Building Regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance
\n - Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records
\n - Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates
\n - Ensure inspections have been carried out, with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate
\n - Operate in accordance with QMS procedures
\n - Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors
\n - Attend client meetings as required
\n

\n
Building Inspector requirements
\n
\n
\n - Class 2A / 2B / 2D Registered Building Inspector (or otherwise actively engaged in the registration process)
\n - Construction-based experience
\n - Experience of residential developments from foundation to completion
\n - Interpersonal skills
\n - Effective verbal and written communication skills
\n - Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and environmental concerns
\n - IT literate
\n
